Downstream

Salmon had two choices.

Swim upstream and risk the bear, or let the current pull him south where a family of fishermen had cast their lines. Neither choice was favorable. The others opted for the bear—a giant brute they could easy dodge. But Salmon was injured and slow. It’d be easier to deal with the fisherman as long the bait wasn’t too tempting. And it always seemed too tempting.

Don’t give in. Don’t give in.

Salmon let go and allowed the current take him south.

He prayed for strength.
