Cabinet’s Torture

“I wonder what’s at the bottom of this hole,” the floating cabinet said to the chair.

“I wish the rabbit would stop and tell us one of these times,” the table commented. “It’s rude to constantly ignore us.”

“But he’s always late!” the mirror exclaimed. “And he’s expected to stop and tell you?”

“Still…” the cabinet mused, “I’d like to know. What’s down there? What?

Cabinet constantly pondered this. A gateway to another world perhaps? A black hole? Nothing at all? It could be anything. Anything at all. But cabinet was forever suspended. And that was the greatest torture.
