Are My Eyes Bleeding Yet?

I read a Chuck Wendig post that said he wrote 10,000 words in a day. ONE DAY. Today I’ve written just shy of 4,000 and my eyes feel like they’re going to peel back and fall out of my skull. So what did I do? I took a break and turned on the TV (another screen) to watch old episodes of Will & Grace and eat the peanut butter and jelly sandwich I made because we’re out of food and I couldn’t drive to get food because the worker guys were outside doing something to the septic tank that’s been explained to me multiple times, but since it’s super boring, I didn’t pay any attention. All I know is they’re supposed to be there (but NOT leave their Dr. Pepper and Burger King cups on the window sill DAMMIT) and I couldn’t leave because someone should be here and since I’m technically unemployed, it made more sense for me to stay home anyway rather than Batman who actually does work for his living.

But 4,000 words right?

I know. BIG day.

I also tried writing these mini-memoir pieces because when you’re a writer, you’ve got to pursue all avenues. Creative non-fiction, I guess. I have three written but I’m super terrified to post them because they’re kind of different from my normal writings (I think) but so are my novels which tend to be a bit on the serious side while my blogs are more of “this is the weird stuff I live through” kind of thing.

I downed some wine, per my usual pre-posting procedure, and added a piece about our journey to get a new TV under Personal Stories. I hope you like it and that it doesn’t suck. You can tell me if it does. I understand. But the wine rack is stocked anyway, so I have a shoulder to cry on since Batman is busy watching the draft.

Really, guys? Keep it together.

Really, guys? Keep it together.

I can’t even imagine what that must have felt like. . . my eyes give way long before that. . . Your friend’s suggestion about the chocolate milk is good, but I was say try some chocowine! Best of both worlds and you don’t get that lactose, yucky feeling afterward!
